Reviewer Guidelines
The integrity of the scientific record and the quality of published research depend heavily on the rigorous peer-review process. As a reviewer, your role is to provide constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback to help authors improve their work and assist the editors in making informed publication decisions. Evaluation Criteria
- 1. Originality and Significance: Does the manuscript contribute new knowledge or provide a novel perspective to the field?
- 2. Methodological Rigor: Is the research design appropriate? Are the methods, data collection, and analysis robust and clearly described?
- 3. Clarity and Structure: Is the manuscript well-organized? Is the language clear, and are the arguments logically developed?
- 4. Ethical Compliance: Does the study adhere to ethical standards regarding human/animal subjects and data integrity?
- 5. References: Are the citations relevant, current, and sufficient to support the claims made?
Reviewer Responsibilities
- 1. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscript and any data therein. Do not share or use the work before publication.
- 2. Objectivity: Conduct reviews in an objective and professional manner. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
- 3. Conflict of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest (financial, personal, or professional) to the editor immediately.
- 4. Timeliness: Complete the review within the agreed-upon timeframe. If an extension is needed, notify the editorial office promptly.
- 5. Constructive Feedback: Provide specific comments and suggestions that help the authors enhance the quality of their research.
Recommendation Options
Reviewers will be asked to provide one of the following recommendations:
- - Accept: The manuscript is ready for publication as is.
- - Minor Revision: Small changes are required before it can be accepted.
- - Major Revision: Significant improvements are needed, followed by another round of review.
- - Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in this journal.
